Background to Shakti Nepal.

Shakti Nepal was established in 2001 and has since been working towards developing educational projects for the children of Nepal, cultural exchange programs between East and West, and a environmental project to clean up a National Park in the Nepalese Himalaya.

They are a small group of individuals from France and the Isle of Man, who following several trips to S.E. Asia, India and Nepal during the late 90s, were inspired to initiate small projects to help at the heart of the social and environmental problems. Members of Shakti Nepal are experienced individuals who in their daily lives are working in the field of fair trade, development, sustainability and education. They visit Nepal personally each year at their own expense and have an established group of Nepalese members who help them to facilitate the programs in Nepal. Their focus has and always will be to maintain sensitivity to the culture of the areas in which they are working.
